From 01 August, 2022, month-long mourning was observed by displaying dropdown banners at 13 visible places in Chattogram, Feni, Cumilla, Dhaka, Naogaon and Chapainawabganj districts including area offices, project offices and in front of Ghashful Paran Rahman School.
Plantation program
On August 17, 2022, the tree planting program was conducted on the organization’s own land in Wazediya, near Ananya residential area of Chattogram. In the said programme, saplings of different varieties of fruit, forest and medicinal plants were planted. Md Shamsul Haque and Sadia Rahman, Assistant Director of Ghashful, inaugurated the tree planting program organized on the occasion of National Mourning Day.
Medical care and diabetes camp
On the occasion of the 47th martyrdom anniversary of the great architect of independence, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day’22, as part of the month-long free health care program, Ghashful’s operating areas in Mekhal and Guman Mardan Union of Hathazari Upazila of Chittagong and Niamatpur Union of Naogaon district are providing free health care and diabetes to the local people for a month. is tested. 2250 patients were served in it. This health care program is conducted under ENRICH program implemented by Ghashful in collaboration with PKSF.
Art competition conducted
Art competitions were held with the students of Evening Learning Center of Mekhal Union of Chattogram Hathazari Upazila on 03 August, 2022 and the students of Out of School Children Education Program in Dhaka on 15 August, 2022. In the competition titled ‘Freedom, Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’, the children painted the pictures of Bangabandhu.
National Mourning Day observed at Ghashful Paran Rahman School
The national flag was kept at half-mast on the occasion of National Day of Mourning at Ghashful Paran Rahman School on 15 August 2022. Apart from this, a brief discussion on the significance of the day and planting of trees were also held.
Participation in mourning rally and laying of wreaths
On the occasion of the 47th martyrdom anniversary and mourning day of the great architect of independence Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 15 August 2022, Ghashful participated in the mourning rally organized by Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) and paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s portrait at Dhanmondi No. 32 Museum.
