Mr. Muhammad Faridur Rahman, born in September 01, 1955, is currently working
as Director (Operations) for Ghashful. Prior to that, he served as a Country Director for BRAC International SriLanka and CEO of BRAC International Pakistan. He has also worked for ASA International, Myanmar as Managing Director and Ghana as Deputy Managing Director.
He was awarded with Aga Khan Foundation, Canada Scholarship for pursuing Master in Development Management in Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines. Aside from his regular profession he is a consultant, academician and trainer.
He is an active member of Publication and Documentation in the Co-coordinating council for Human Rights in Bangladesh (CCHRB), Honorary Director, Pakistan Micro-Finance Network association (PMN) and Member of Policy and Advocacy Group of Myanmar Microfinance Association (MMFA).
He has published a number of research papers in national and international journals from renowned institutions at Philippines. He has attended many significant training, workshops, seminars and symposium in home and abroad on Management Development, Financial Management, Sector Program Management, Gender Awareness and Monitoring, Environment Awareness, Empowerment of Women etc. from BRAC, Grameen Bank and many notable institutions of Bangladesh.
His noteworthy international training experiences include Entrepreneurial Approach to Small Enterprise Development by Durham Business School, UK, Project Study Preparation Course (PSPC) by the University of Philippines, Institute of Small Scale Industries (UP-ISSI), Exponential Learning and Deep Immersion on social Mobilization and Concretization by South Asian Professional Network Association (SAPNA), Sri Lanka, etc.
